The “Great Balls of Fire” bowling event was a great success in my eyes. It was clear Kim spent some time investigating price and location to accommodate our department staff quite well. Her instructions were timely on time, location, clothing – T Shirts, even shoes was helpful especially since we each had our spouses or significant other as guest. I greatly appreciated Kim greeting us at the door to keep us moving, passing out the T shirts and picking teams to keep things moving quickly and efficiently. It was such a success, I believe most folks wanted to bowl extra games. At the end, the passing out of the trophy for various accomplishments added to the fun and concluded an enjoyable night. Kim is remarkable! She helped me throw an incredible "Baby Sprinkle" at my home. After our first meeting I knew I had made the right decision in using Magical Memories. What impressed me the most about Kim is her sensibility towards her client's needs and her ability to relate their vision. She was so great and easy to work with, very detail oriented, and yet conscientious of my budget. There were so many details that Kim had a keen eye for that I would not have thought of. She helped with decorations, setup and food too! The benefit to all who engage her services is her accessibility, resources and patience. Kim can see what other's miss. She has a keen eye for decorations, theme design, and 'setting the right mood', all of which are skills any event planner has and needs. BUT...she also has the ability to look far ahead and see a disaster coming.
Kim knew the venue we had picked was small and a challenge. After a change suggested by the venue to better deal with a combo ceremony and reception setting caused us to move the reception to a semi-outdoor alternate location, she knew we were inviting a potentially unwelcome guest: the weather.
With just over a week to go to the wedding, she skillfully and, at times, forcefully worked with the venue to come up with a different solution when the weather forecast turned far worst than expected after the venue suggested the change.
What Kim accomplished was nothing short of a miracle! First, she got the reception back to the original location we wanted...and then...got the ceremony into an alternate location that was far beyond what we hoped for. She coordinated and laid this all out first before bringing the solution to us...along with design layout information and pictures to help us see the new vision. Although EXTREMELY stressful for all of us, we quickly saw her vision and what she was trying to prevent. The result was truly a Magical Moment for all of us.
My wife and I are fully convinced, that had Kim not been working with us, the day would have been a horrible disaster. But, because she took a moment to look far ahead and see what was coming while we are all focused on the bride and activities leading up to the big day, she put her customers first and the results were more than we could have dreamed of. Thank you, Kim! We know it was hard....but the results were magical! - Patrick

I’m so thankful that I asked Kim to help oversee my special day! I knew all the details would be handled and everything would run smoothly under her watch. She was present at our rehearsal (which was at the actual venue where we were getting married – ceremony and reception all in one) and she took the time to give the entire venue a “once over”, making sure that we had adequate space and sound equipment for the next day, ensuring that miscellaneous items that were still “laying around” at the venue would be cleaned up and put away by the next day, to just getting a feel for my vision for the big day! During the ceremony she was right on point with timing for the girls and my grand entrance! She is a very proactive “organizer”! After the ceremony, we went off-site for pictures with the bridal party and in the midst of our photos, it started pouring! To my surprise, when we arrived early back at our venue (due to the rain) dinner was ready to go! Kim knew when the rain started that we would be returning soon and immediately spoke with the chef, allowing dinner to be served earlier – getting the “party started”! Since my venue did not have an on-site coordinator, Kim’s service was vital for my day to run smoothly without having to rely on my parents to take on that worry. I highly recommend anyone without an on-site coordinator to meet with Kim! - Angela
